The conference is for ALL EXEMPT Tennessee Family & Consumer Science Personnel. This includes Faculty, Specialists, Agents, & Extension Assistants. (Unfortunately, non-Exempt personnel (hourly) are ineligible to attend due to the complexity in their pay structure.)
We are requesting that each breakout session presentation be uploaded by EOB on Monday, July 27th so the team can pre-load presentations onto laptops at the conference. (Note only one presenter per presentation must upload their presentation.)
To upload, the committee requests the following:
- Name your file “BSyourlastname_firstwordofpresentation” Example: BSThomas_Authoring
- Upload your file directly into Google Drive: FCS PD Breakout Folder. (Ensure you are logged in with your UT netid).
- Complete by July 26th.
On the time & date of your presentation, please arrive 10-15 minutes ahead of the scheduled start. This additional time will ensure your PPT is working and allows you time to coordinate last-minute setup, pass out handouts, and be available to greet attendees.
At the close of your session, please ensure no trash or items are left behind and leave the room as you found it for the next presenter. We appreciate your help!
The dress is business casual.
Register via Conference App.
To register for the Conference, all participants must register through the Conference App, which can be downloaded here. Along with basic registration information, questions regarding roommate selection, dietary restrictions, and additional needs/accommodations will be requested.
Enroll in Breakout Sessions via App Before Conference. You will be able to register for all breakout sessions through the app. Please be sure to enroll in your preferred sessions early before the sessions fill up! All sessions are first come, first serve.
No SUPER registration required! Registrants will be enrolled in SUPER after the conference by State staff to ensure you receive professional development credit.
For attendees who live outside a 30-mile radius, you are eligible to stay at the Hilton Nashville Airport in a double Queen room. In order to secure your room, you must register for the Conference first and provide your roommate selection. Please ensure you ask your roommate in advance of registration and confirm rooming together rather than providing names (without confirmation). After registration, our staff will secure your room and send out the confirmation to you and your roommate. If you are located inside a 30-mile radius of the hotel, please plan to commute in each day.
The FCS conference is mandatory in its entirety. Please reach out to Dr. Fox or your Regional Program Leader if you have any conflicts or needs that will take you away. We are looking forward to a time to network, engage and learn.
Yes, you may use your travel card for all conference-related expenses that are reimbursable. Note the travel card policies must be strictly followed.
