Foreclosure Forum & Home ownership Preservation Event Announced

All across the country communities are suffering as foreclosures threaten family and community well-being. Recognizing this concern in Tennessee, UT Extension is partnering with the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Memphis Branch to sponsor a one-day workshop providing an overview and scope of the mortgage foreclosure problem and available solutions and resources for consumers. Participant will hear analyses of current data and trends and remedies for individuals and communities facing these issues. The forum will be May 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Western Region Extension Office in Jackson. Please see the invitation for details and registration information.

That same day, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., there will be a Home ownership Preservation Event where borrowers can meet one-on-one with their loan foreclosure and help them stay in their home. This FREE event is open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring current pay stubs, tax returns, and correspondence from their mortgage company. Please encourage your clients, family members, friends, and others who may be facing foreclosure to attend. Registration is not required. Please see the event flyer for details.
