Health Works! is a wellness program for youth in grades 5 through 12. Taught by the University of Tennessee's 4-H faculty or in cooperation with school teachers, high school lifetime wellness teachers and peer and adult volunteers, Health Works! promotes the development of skills in self-assessment, communication, decision-making, advocacy and self-care. Although knowledge is necessary, the development of these specific skills is critical to the development of positive health habits. This curriculum allows youth to learn about themselves and examine a variety of areas important to building a wellness lifestyle.
